About the presenter:
Maureen Katherine Baldwin, M.D. ’07, M.P.H. ’07, specializes in general obstetrics and gynecology with a focus on family planning, adolescent gynecology and early pregnancy management. She completed medical school, residency and a fellowship in family planning at OHSU, and earned a master’s in public health in the OHSU/PSU dual degree program. Baldwin enjoys the variety of her work which includes clinical care, teaching, research, international service, advocacy work and local provider training. Her research interests include clinical diagnosis and management of early abnormal pregnancy, improving pain during office procedures, safety of very early abortion, postpartum contraception and treatment outcomes of menstrual management. Her current NIH-funded work in collaboration with a University of Washington researcher will compare bleeding outcomes with use of progestins for management of heavy menstrual bleeding in those with and without bleeding disorders.
